Melting Snowman Canisters

Marcel Dzama's melting snowman canisters were inspired by a series of personal autobiographical drawings and paintings allegorically documenting his move to New York from Winnipeg. Three of the four ceramic snowmen have an airtight lid and are designed for storage of condiments or other products.

Marcel Dzama was born in 1974 in Winnipeg, Canada. He lives and works in New York. Since graduating in 1997, Dzama has had numerous critically acclaimed solo shows in New York, London, Paris, Barcelona, Stockholm and Los Angeles, Düsseldorf, and Milan.
